God and Dog

Check out this poem and video I ran across. It is sooo true!

God Spelled Backwards

When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went.
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
I've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."

I'm so thankful for having God and my dog Sophie in my life! They both brighten any day, pull me through the bad times, rejoice with me in the good times, have a great sense of humor, and love me unconditionally no matter what! Sophie really is a sweetie and a trooper. She can always sense if something is wrong or if I'm sad, and she has been so comforting and loving lately with everything going on in my life.

  1. You have Sophie, I have a little man. It might sound funny to compare the two. But both seem to know exactly what we need when we're having a bad day, week, month.... Warren's happiness, cuddles, kisses and hugs keep me going even on the worst days. Knowing that he knows I will always be here taking care of him, no matter what. And that I will fight until the end of time to keep him as safe, happy and loved as he is now. Equals getting that much love in return.

So it may have sounded a little silly, but people and dogs, not so different.

Sending you (and Sophie!) lots of hugs, love and good juju!
